Batch No. 2 continues the story of our Foeder for Food solera — built in part from the same living beer as Batch No. 1, now evolving through a new expression.

A portion of the original base beer remained in the foeder and refreshed with a new brew, allowing complexity to deepen while preserving the soul of the beer that started it all. This second release was then dry hopped with Hallertau Blanc.

Batch 2 is the first blended release. A mix of young and aged Saisons, tied together with house yeast cultures from each of the three breweries. This batch, compared to the unblended first batch, has furthered complexity overall and much deeper oak character. It has warm & spicy notes of black pepper, cinnamon, and toasted marshmallow while also lending layers of fresh strawberries and coconut. It finishes dry and rounds out with a wave of vanilla.

Familiar foundations remain, but the beer has taken a graceful next step forward.

This is living beer in motion — shaped by time, place, and intention — and crafted to continue supporting our community through Foeder for Food.
